The thought of a boudoir session can be scary. When talking to people about their session. I get asked all kinds of questions. So I wanted to compile a list of my 10 most frequently asked questions to give you some insight on preparing for a boudoir session with me!
Do you share my images?
At Strawberry Boudoir Photography, your comfort is always our top priority — especially when it comes to boudoir. I know this experience can be incredibly empowering, but it can also come with a few butterflies (totally normal!).
Whether you're just starting to reconnect with your body or these photos are a private gift for your partner, your boundaries are always respected here. You never have to share your images — and that decision is 100% yours.
I offer a few image release options to fit your comfort level: full image release, anonymous image release, or no release at all. Whatever you choose, I’ve got you — your privacy and confidence matter most. 💖
Do I have to wear lingerie?
You can wear whatever you're comfortable in that fits your style! We've combined lingerie with other items, you can wear jeans, button up shirts, shorts, sweaters, a dress, etc! I'm happy to help you to figure out something that works for YOU!
Do you offer payment plans?
At Strawberry Boudoir, we believe every woman deserves to experience this once-in-a-lifetime kind of magic — and we’ve got flexible payment options to help make that happen! 💕
To officially reserve your session, a non-refundable session retainer is required. This covers your full experience with us (hair, makeup, and the session itself), but images and products are sold separately.
When it comes to purchasing your gorgeous images and dream products, you’ve got options:
✨ Interest-free in-house payment plans — split your payments into easy biweekly or monthly installments leading up to your shoot.
✨ PayPal Credit or AfterPay — once approved, you’re paid in full with us, but you get to pay over time on your end (many options are interest-free, and there's no hard credit pull or new credit card involved!).

Is hair and makeup included?
At Strawberry Boudoir, every session includes professional hair and makeup — because let’s be real, you deserve to be pampered from the moment you walk in. 💄✨
Whether you’re feeling a soft, natural glow or ready to go full bombshell with sultry glam, our incredible beauty team will help bring your vision to life. You can totally bring inspo pics too — we love working with your style to make sure you feel confident, sexy, and completely you.
This isn’t just a photoshoot — it’s an experience, babe. And it starts the second you sit in that makeup chair. 🍓
Do you Photoshop my images?
At Strawberry Boudoir, I do light editing on your images — adjusting things like lighting, exposure, and color — but I don’t edit out anything that’s a permanent part of who you are.
Why? Because your story matters. Your body tells that story. And I believe editing out the real, beautiful parts of you — even the ones you're still learning to love — sends the wrong message. This experience is about celebrating you as you are, not hiding behind Photoshop.
That said, we do take care of temporary things like blemishes, bruises, or makeup smudges. And don’t worry — I’m trained in posing and lighting that naturally highlights your best angles and lets your confidence shine.
You don’t have to be flawless to be absolutely stunning, babe.
You just have to be you.
Do you offer digitals?
Yes, babe — we’ve got digital collections for every kind of vibe! 🍓
You can choose from collections that include 20 images, 30 images, or go all in with your entire digital gallery (because honestly, leaving images behind is the hardest part). Most of my clients end up falling in love with the collection that includes both digitals and stunning metal wall art — it’s the perfect combo of bold and beautiful!
All digital galleries are securely delivered online, and you’ll be able to download them straight to your own device — easy, private, and yours to keep forever.
Because these images are more than just photos — they’re a celebration of you. 💕
I’m freaking out! How can I calm my nerves?
Feeling nervous? Totally normal, babe — nerves are part of the experience! Honestly, I’d be more surprised if you weren’t a little anxious. You’re about to do a lingerie photoshoot with someone you just met — that’s a big deal!
But let me tell you this: the hardest part? Just walking through the door. Once you’re inside the studio, we’re going to chat, laugh, and get you all glammed up while we vibe. I’m going to be your instant bestie and your #1 hype girl — cheering you on every step of the way.
By the time we start shooting, you’ll forget you were ever nervous. Pinky promise. 🍓💕
Where is your studio located?
Our beautiful studio is in Lakewood, WA, just south of Tacoma and only a few minutes off of I-5 in a cute little neighborhood. The whole bottom half of my house is dedicated to my studio!
What type of print products do you have?
We offer beautiful and luxurious custom designed albums, incredible wall art, calendars, viewfinders, print boxes, and more! There are samples of all of the products available in my studio for you to see, touch, and get excited for!
Where should I buy outfits?
You’re in luck, babe — at Strawberry Boudoir, we’ve got a fully stocked client closet with hundreds of lingerie pieces in sizes XS to 6XL, ready for you to borrow for your session! 🍓
All you need to bring is a pair of black thong or cheeky undies to wear with ones that will be more flattering for YOUR body (for hygiene purposes — everything is also professionally cleaned and sanitized between clients). We’ve got you covered when it comes to style, but I always recommend bringing 1–2 pieces you love too, just in case you want to add a personal touch!
